Eadie, I watched The Chew today but it seems that all the camera work was on the left side and behind the samplers. There were 4 women there who had orange on but none were shirts. Sorry I missed you! But the show was good. Doesn't Carla look just like her mom?

They showed a good shot of my husband but only half of my face. Of course, I had to slow down the action in order to see it. Yes, Carla does look like her mom. The crew and hosts have a lot of fun behind the scenes. It really was a fun visit. Jesus Christ Superstar was awesome. They sing the whole show and their voices were all so good. I've seen the show before but they have really brought the show up to the times. They have a digital timeline running in the background announcing the day and times of the scenes during Holy Week. The crucifixion scene was really amazing!

Hi Max! I've had workmen at my house on and off for the past few weeks. Right now they're staining my deck - they planned to do that last week but a couple rainy days threw them off schedule. It's a little distracting but the house is now freshly painted (the outside, anyway - they start on the inside in a week or two) and the deck looks better than it has in years!

And, best yet, the sun is shining!

How's everything with you?

Re: Good Morning!

I've been staying busy. I heard from Tiggerbear on Facebook. She said that she would soon return and that a lot has gone on with her life. She does not get on Facebook much and I left her a message back in July of last year and she just returned it.

I had an eye doctor appointment today and got some unexpected news...I have the beginnings of cataracts in both eyes. I had noticed since January that signs were getting fuzzy and would only become clear when I was almost on top of them. The doctor thinks I have about 3 years before surgery is needed and by then, I'll be on Medicare and hopefully, it will pay in total for the operation. Not happy about this at all!

Say hi to Tigger for me! I'm Facebook friends with her, too, but it doesn't seem like she's on FB much. I hope everything is okay with her.

I think cataracts are something most people have to deal with eventually. My parents had theirs removed not long ago - the process is a whole lot faster and easier than it was when my grandmother had hers removed years ago!

Re: Good Morning!

About the cataracts, yes, the process takes 2-3 hours in an outpatient basis at a hospital. And one eye is done at a time.

About Tigger, she mentioned she told you everything in confidence. I assume that was long ago. I got the impression that she and her husband might be having problems but she is still married to him. I just hope she comes back soon.

Re: Good Morning!

maxcat, I to have catracts. My eye doctor watches them. The one in my right eye have effect my vision some but not enough to have it removed yet. The one in my left eye has stayed the same. They are in the back of my eyes.

My eye doctor lets me know what is going on with them and watches them. She is really good about letting my know how my sight is. I usually go to her every two years or less if I notice something going on. My insurance lets me go every year. They give my coverage for the exam and tell them what they will cover for the glasses anything above that I have to cover.

So if I go next year, I will go back to my transitions and no-line bifocals when I get my income tax.

My friend, Judy had her catracts removed and now she does not need her glasses any more. She only needs readers, which she can buy at Wal-Mart. She is very very happy.

She was amazed at how they could take the catracts and she could see so much clear and no more glasses for full time.

So I will have my doctor keep a watch on them and she will let me know when they need to be removed.

I guess it is a part of getting older.

Take care.

Re: Good Morning!

Hi to all, I have had a busy week. Painting and planting were on my agenda, not to mention a round of golf. Luckily the painting went better than the golf. It will be better in the long run! I just realized that it is mid May already. Gosh! Where is the time going? And why is it getting there so quickly?! I hope that everyone enjoys a wonderful weekend! I'm planning on relaxing a bit. Re: Good Morning!

Patti, cataracts are a way of life once you get older. Mine were detected with those drops that make light the worse thing for a while. My exam is free and I go next door and get lens and frames for $117. Not bad! I always ask for bargain frames and I wear bifocals and get scratch resistant polycarb lens.

Re: Good Morning!

Hi to all, It's great to be back. I've been keeping busy with chores around my house. My to do list is still quite large. I'll take a break of this weekend as we have family coming in from out of town. It will be nice to visit with everyone and catch up. Not much else going on. It's hard to believe it's Memorial day already! Where has the time flown to? Today is golf day and it looks beautiful outside. I'm excited about playing again! Otherwise not much going on. I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful day! Jim
