A First Look book the same month as the romantic suspense blitz? February at Mystery is going to ROCK!

So - if you just opened this thread you probably are having a "what the heck?" moment. Yes, as you can see, this started as a perfectly normal announcement thread about a "First Look" book club featuring a Mystery. There is a separate Book Club where you can find the discussion about Paul Doiron's book. (Which we all enjoyed very much!)

But, here's the thing. It was a month or so before the discussion started, so people started hanging out here in the meantime. And then after the First Look Book Club started, everyone stayed.

And more people came . . . and more . . . and we finally made this the official Off-Topic thread. Anything goes, within the bounds of B&N's rules (no profanity, no mean-talk, and please don't spam us with posts about your book).

BUT we do encourage authors to join us - several have, and they now have a lot of loyal followers. We'd just like to meet you first, and make friends, and learn about your book(s) as we go along.

It's off-topic, but it's still B&N so I will post as many book links as I can and I hope you will, too. We're an odd crowd here, but we're imaginative and friendly and, most of all, we love books. Join us!

We'll actually be discussing it in March, but regardless this book rocks!

Whew, that's a relief. March will be somewhat more sane here. 

I'm planning on inviting some debut authors in March, but I have to be careful not to over-commit. I'm going to be joining Brenda Novak and Christine Feehan at their Fan2010 get-together in Old Sacramento in early March, too.
