Hi Becke, The archeology book site is amazing! So many great books to read. Very exciting. Kudos to you, Becke. I'll be attending the discussion with guest author Dana Cameron. Count me in November 21th!  :smileyhappy:

Yay! I'm excited we found a date that worked better for her. We were shooting for October but that turned out to be a pretty hectic month for her. I'm looking forward to her visit - turns out she's friends with another author some of you may know - Hank Phillippi Ryan!

Wow, well who doesn't our friend Hank know, I'll be meeting Hank in person one week from Saturday while she's in town for Bouchercon. :smileyhappy:

Be sure to introduce yourself to Lois Winson, Kelli Stanley and all the other authors who've been featured here. Wish I could join you - hopefully next year we can both make it to Bouchercon in Cleveland!

Re: Mysteries with an Archaeology Theme

I met a couple of your guests last year at Bouchercon in San Francisco. What a great convention, and what wonderful people you can hang out with!

Re: Mysteries with an Archaeology Theme

Hi Becky,

I wrote UNSEEN FORCES

Unseen Forces   a few years back now.  My hero is an "alternative" archeologist.

This is more of a conspiracy/espionage thriller, but I think it's a fun read.

My new mystery comes out in December called STORM DAMAGE, from St. Martin's Minotaur.  A crime novel set in New Orleans, but no archeology!

Thanks and cheers!

Re: Mysteries with an Archaeology Theme

Stonehenge

Bernard Cornwell

Hi Becke, I've been given a few Bernard Cornwell books, most in medieval England but this one is different since it is set in 2000 BC in England. I thought this would be good in the archeology theme. This one looks really good !   :smileyhappy:

Four thousand years ago, a stranger's death at the Old Temple of Ratharryn-and his ominous "gift" of gold-precipitates the building of what for centuries to come will be known as one of mankind's most singular and remarkable achievements.

That sounds really good! I just got home after two weeks in Florida, and I'm buried in books! It's going to take me awhile to catch up on my reading, but I'll add this to my wish list!

Re: Mysteries with an Archaeology Theme

I can't believe I've forgotten to mention one of my favorite mystery author's, she has a series staring an American and an Irish archeologist working together in Ireland.
