A Lake District Journey

Is this book a mystery, Sean? I didn't get that impression from the blurb.

No, it's not a mystery.  This poster has been spamming the book in every group he can think of.  Seems to be a vanity-published book with no interest from anyone.

B&N's policies have changed somewhat. The BN.com site now allows self-promotion of self-published/indie published/vanity published books as long as the books are available for sale through Nook or BN.com.

If the plot includes a mystery, it's okay to post it here. The title of the book doesn't sound that way, but the legend of Fletcher Christian seems to involve a mystery.

Thanks for your concern. Spamming, of course, is still against BN.com policy, which is why I removed the duplicate post.

What happened to F. Christian is certainly a mystery. This book is that good that I want to tell everyone about it. Sean Frain is an established author with many books in print actually, though none I have read are anywhere near as good as this - this is not a vanity self-published book, but is published in America. Please do not slag-off what you have never read.

He died on Pitcairn Island along with the rest of the mutineers.  Rumors and legends of his living out his days elsewhere under an assumed name have about as much evidence as similar claims about Jesse James and Elvis Presley.

There is a lot of circumstantial evidence supporting the legend that Christian returned to England, including a sighting by one who sailed with him for several months! This sighting was after Christian supposedly died on Pitcairn. No grave exists, and how he was killed was explained in several different ways at the time, according to this book. A mystery indeed!
