ABOUT ANN

After graduating from law school, where I met my husband – a classmate – I practiced civil litigation for over six years, specializing in family law.
I “retired” several years ago following the birth of my second child. Now I wrangle kids, write full time, do a poor job of keeping in touch with my wonderful sorors of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, and read whatever I can get my hands on.
After Stephen King’s terrific book, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft, gave me the courage to put fingers to keyboard, I wrote my first manuscript. A Delicate Situation is, sadly, unfit for public consumption. Fortunately, I’ve learned a little since then, and published my second completed novel, Trouble, in 2006.

I live in Ohio with my husband, kids, rescue cats, Sadie and Savannah, who graciously tolerate our presence as long as we feed them on time, and rescue hound, Sheldon, who keeps the yard free of squirrels and other vermin.

Synopsis
Passion can be deadly...
A woman driven to know the truth...
Criminal defense attorney Amara Clarke can't help but be hot and bothered by the handsome, enigmatic new cook at her local diner—and his seeming dislike of her. Until she finds herself in a dangerous situation—and the mysterious Jack Parker comes to her aid.
...The man who'll do anything to protect her.
Amara doesn't know that Jack is a DEA agent, evading death threats from a powerful drug lord. The last thing he wants is to endanger her by letting her get too close. But when fate puts her in his path, Jack's cover is blown wide open. Soon he and Amara are on the run—but they can't escape the smoldering chemistry between them. To keep Amara out of harm's way, Jack will have to take drastic measures—even if it means shattering her fragile heart...
Praise for the novels of Ann Christopher
"Trouble is a sultry romance..." —The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers
"A brilliant and tasteful novel about love, tragedy, heartbreak and forgiveness." —Romantic Times on Risk
Publishers Weekly
Tough men find their soft spots for smart, beautiful women in Christopher's (Redemption's Kiss) exciting romantic thriller. DEA agent Jack Parker, quietly masquerading as a fry cook, helps brilliant criminal defense lawyer Amara Clarke stop a carjacking. When footage of his heroics hits the TV news, it alerts Jack's longtime enemy, drug kingpin Kareem Gregory, to his location.
Forced to take Amara along for her safety as he attempts to stay underground until Gregory's next trial, Jack struggles to fend off their mutual attraction and Amara's investigative instincts, hoping she can someday go back to leading a normal life. Meanwhile, Kareem digs into his own difficult relationship issues and conflicted sexual tension with his good-girl wife, Kira. Rough romance interleaves smoothly with bloody, lethal confrontation en route to a thrilling conclusion. (Nov.)

Ann is a Romantic Times Award nominee for Best Romantic Suspense of 2010!
Ann's website is here: http://www.annchristopher.com/
Her Facebook fan page is here: https://www.facebook.com/AuthorAnnChristopher
Ann also writes for Harlequin - here is her bio from eHarlequin:
Ann Christopher has been in love with love stories since the fifth grade, when she read Patricia Clapp's Jane-Emily—or maybe it was sixth grade, when she read Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. At any rate, she grew up, went to law school and worked as an attorney for six years, handling more divorces than she cares to remember.
She "retired" several years ago, before the birth of her second child, to stay home full-time, not realizing that being a lawyer was the easier job. After a while, she fired up the computer and began to indulge her passion for love stories and playing with words. Now she writes romances and is much happier focusing on the beginnings of love affairs rather than the endings. She lives in Cincinnati and spends her time with her family, which includes two large, spoiled cats.
If you'd like to recommend a great book, share a recipe for homemade cake of any kind, or have a tip for getting your children to do what you say the first time you say it, Ann would love to hear from you through her Web site, www.annchristopher.com.

Welcome
Debbie - Ann and I aren't exactly neighbors - Cincinnati is a big town - but I do see her at local book signings occasionally! I think I have some pictures - I'll have to check.

Ann - I'm glad you got in okay! I don't know what the deal is with the B&N gnomes and Safari - sometimes they really make it difficult to sign in. I use Google Chrome, which is usually okay, but Mozilla Firefox does seem to be the safest bet for some reason. Maybe that Firefox gobbles up the nasty gnomes and gremlins!
