Those books by Russo, Craig, and Graves all look very interesting. I also like:
Bayside mystery series by Ellery Adams. ( Sorry, having some posting problems.) I am not sure how "purist" we are supposed to be in the definition of "Seaport" but it seems to me that a book which has a setting near a bay is technically the same thing. I really like these books, with the protagonist Olivia Limoges and her Standard Black Poodle, Captain Haviland, being very engaging characters. Plus the books are well-plotted, too--and then of course, there's the setting. 'Nuff said?

We could change it to "waterside" - which opens things up a bit. I just thought of Lucy Burdette's new series set in Key West:
An Appetite For Murder (Key West Food Critic Series #1)

Waterside sounds great to me, becke! I also agree with Optic I on the Lucy Burdette books. Those look great! I've been meaning to read An Appetite for Murder, and now it looks like there's another book in the series already!

Hi Fricka, Thanks! Aren't they great pics ! I got them from google images for sea ports of New England.
Although I am doing New England sea ports of each state. There are five on the Atlantic here. So I match the pics with each state. Done two so far, and match them with mystery books I have enjoyed. But like Becke said this thread is for any region that you enjoy reading about and want to tell everyone about. I am interested in hearing about what everyone likes to read. ![]()

Lucius Beebe Memorial Library
Beach Mysteries: Location, Location, Location!
The weather in New England during the winter months make us long for sunny, sandy beaches and cool, fruity tropical drinks. Than again, the pace of our busy lives may make us long for those locations at any point in the year. This list contains authors and titles that reflect beach locations—some that only see boogie boards in the summer months and others that have the virtue of beach weather all year round.
Thank you, once again, to Beebe Reference Librarian Beth Radcliffe for her thorough research on this list.
Whenever possible, if a series, the titles are in order of publication date. Series characters are after the author’s name. This is by no means an exhaustive list, and please let us know if you feel that a title should be here. Please read one or more titles, and come prepared to discuss your impressions of them with the group.
