Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Just finished reading Out of Time by Samantha Graves.  I love the way she writes, and I'm very excited that she's going to be visiting with us soon!

Sorry I've been out of touch for a few days.  I'm in Florida with my family -- we had to drive down for a funeral, and I've been unable to access BN.com.  The site doesn't work with Safari, and that's all my husband's laptop has.  I found a computer with Mozilla Firefox, so I'm trying to make up for lost time.  We head back tomorrow.

Meantime, the long road trip gave me a lot of time to read while my son and husband shared the driving.  I also read, and really liked, Down the Rabbit Hole and Quicksand.

Out of Time Down the Rabbit Hole (Echo Falls Series #1) Quicksand (Eve Duncan Series #7)

I'd love to hear about, Down the Rabbit hole, when you're done. Love the cover.

Re: What are you reading right now?

I just finished Lost Souls by Sue Jackson and loved the book. I am going to pick up the other books in that series. I also looked up books by Kathy Reichs has anyone read these books?? I am looking for some new authors to read as I have to wait until June for my Plum Series and I want to expand my library. So far I have read all of Jonathan Kellerman's Alex Delaware series, Patterson's Cross Series, and have started Sue Jackson and looking to start Kathy Reichs series tomorrow. Is there any other good mystery/suspense series out there? I am a fast reader and I usually try to get authors with a good series.

I have been reading Linda Fairstein.  Her series is about Alex Cooper an assistant District attorney for New York, Manhattan area.  She deals mainly with sex crimes but always there is more going on in her book.  Reoccurring characters and great story lines.  I'm hooked.  I too am waiting for the next Stephanie Plum book.  Also I like the J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts)  once you get past the futuristic thing they are a great read.

I've read almost all the Kellerman and Reichs books, except the most recent ones.

I am glad to see that you have deicded to cehck out Kathy Reiches. Her books are really good. If you have every seen the show Bones. The characters Brennan is from her books.

I also recommend Patricia Cornwell, Faye Kellerman(Jonathan's wife) Sue Grafton and Catherine Coutler's FBI series. I think you will like these. I recently read Erica Spindler's new one Breckneck. It was very good. Try it out. A friend recommend John Sandford's Prey series. I have not tried them yet. But hear they are good.

Also try Nora Roberts as J. D. Robb. Her In Death series are really good. I think you would like them.

Hope this gives you a lot to read.

Re: What are you reading right now?

Ooh Becke, The Eve Duncan series by Iris Johansen is one of my favorites. She's writing with her son now too

Silent Thunder

It was really good too.

Right now I'm reading

The Double Bind

for my in person book discussion group. It's sort of a sequel to The Great Gatsby. Not one I would have picked but I'm glad they did or I would have missed a wonderful read.

Debbie - Both of those books are in my TBR pile.  The Double Bind has been there a long time, unfortunately, but I will get to it eventually.

Re: What are you reading right now?

I just started Heather Graham's new mystery-

Nightwalker

So far excellent, but I expect no less from this very gifted storyteller. If you're familiar with Heather this is a novel that includes The Harrison Investigators a group of paranormal specialists that investigate crimes and woo woo situations.

I've read several of her books and really like the way she writes.  I have a whole lot more of her books in my TBR pile, too.

Re: What are you reading right now?

Hi, I just finished reading Lethal Legacy by Linda Fairstein. It was really good. I love the characters. Alex, Mike and Mercer are great. I love their inner action. I love how Linda writes and weaves her stories. She is a great writer.

I need to read some of her earlier books to get caught up.

I highly recommend this book. It is a great read.

Re: What are you reading right now?

I just finished The Big Dirt Nap, by Rosemary Harris.  I loved it!  Now I am reading "The Man with a Load of Mischief" by Martha Grimes.  It's the first Richard Jury novel and so far I'm very please.  It's actually my first Martha Grimes book so I plan to read more.

I read The Private Patient a few months back.  I  liked it.   I just finished the First Look Deliverance Dane book which was very good.  I am now reading  The Chicago Way by Michael Harvey.   It is a first book for him, and he now has a sequel.  So I figured I should get this one off my TBR pile before I get the next book.   Even though I am a suburbanite, I love reading books that take place in Chicago.  This is a quick read, but a good mystery.   I also got into Sara Paretsky because her P.I. Warshawski books take place in Chicago.

Re: What are you reading right now?

I read Lethal Legacy last month..partly because I knew that I'd be meeting Linda at Murder 203 (She was wonderful!) If you go to her website, there's a video tour of the library and some of the hidden rooms that are in her book. www.lindafairstein.com Very cool.

I just started City of Fire by Robert Ellis. I met him at Murder 203, too and he was a peach.

Cheers,

Rosemary

Re: What are you reading right now?

Everyone's had such great ideas lately.  My list of books to buy is getting longer by the hour.
I've been on a short trip home visiting parents, but read a few books on the flight.  I'm still reading Agatha Christie - I'm hooked.  I just finished The Body in the Library (Miss Marple Series)  and Evil Under the Sun (Hercule Poirot Series).  I really enjoy Hercule Poirot's quirkiness and Miss Marple is as sharp as a tack (the little old lady knows everything).
I just started reading The Secret Adversary (Tommy and Tuppence Series) which is the first in the Tommy and Tuppence series.  I'm really enjoying it so far and can't wait to see what their next adventure will be.
