Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Re: What are you reading right now?

Just began this book the other day. It has held my attention well and drawn me in. I'm new to Michael Connelly and like his syle of writing. I also like the internet server slant. I'm a bit of a nerd. lol.

That one is still in my TBR pile. I always love Connelly's books, I just haven't gotten to it yet.

Hello my name is Katie and I'm always searching through the book clubs looking for new ideas and have found a few and thought I'd actually try posting on here. I am reading "Finger Lickin' Fifteen" by Janet Evanovich. I absolutely adore this series. about a year ago I came across it and thought nah that doesn't look very intresting, well one of my managers at work was reading it and always laughing and telling me about how good it was so I gave it a try and I am so happy I did.

Hi Kate, no one can make me laugh like Janet Evanovich, try some of her classic romance too.

I hope you like Michael, you might want to try Chasing The Dime, by him if you like the computer nerd side of things

here's the synopsis

Chasing The Dime (2002)

Would you risk your life for a woman you'd never met?

Henry Pierce has a whole new life — new apartment, new telephone, new telephone number. But the first time he checks his messages, he discovers that someone had the number before him. The messages on his line are for a woman named Lilly, and she is in some kind of serious trouble. Pierce is inexorably drawn into Lilly's world, and it's unlike any world he's ever known. It is a nighttime world of escort services, websites, sex, and secret identities. Pierce tumbles through a hole, abandoning his orderly life in a frantic race to save the life of a woman he has never met.

Pierce's skills as a computer entrepreneur allow him to trace Lilly's last days with some precision. But every step into Lilly's past takes Pierce deeper into a web of inescapable intricacy — and a decision that could cost him everything he owns and holds dear.

Right now, I am reading 'Holly and Homicide' A domestic bliss mystery by Leslie Caine. This is the last one in the series that I have. Very light reading and cute.

Re: What are you reading right now?

I have Deanna Raybourn's new one but haven't read it yet. How does it compare to her other series?

I love Flavia, too! I bought the new one but (repeat after me) I HAVEN'T READ IT YET.

Geez, my TBR pile just grows and grows. I can't keep up with it at all lately.

You are very welcome. Let us know what you think. Also try his Harry Bosch series, it's very good if you like the lonesome cop type.

Wild Ride

is what I'm currently reading and it's good, but not as good as I expected from Crusie and Mayer. I'm a wee bit disappointed.

Oh no - you didn't like it? I loved it! But then, I do love the wacky stories.

No, I do like it Becke, it's just not as good as I'm used to with her and Bob. I don't know the wit is just off a bit.

The Dead Travel Fast had supernatural overtones and the heroine was very different from Lady Julia.   Great story though so it was a  quick read.  I loved the setting too. I'm eager to see what you think Becke!

I've already read 212 and couldn't put it down. I heard Alafair speak at B&N Tribeca tonight and she was terrific. Highly recommend.

It looks great, but I also want to read Harlan Coben and Nancy Martin's new ones, and I have an ARC of Mary Kennedy's new book. And I just realized Dead Head got buried in my TBR pile - AAUUGGHH! Need to forget sleep, and just read!!
