Re: What are you reading right now?

I'm reading

A Question of Belief (Guido Brunetti Series #19)

by Donna Leon . I've read her 18 previous books. Nothing special, but one does get addicted to detective Guido Brunetti, his job, his co-workers, his wonderful family, Veneza, etc...

I don't think I've ever read this series - I'll have to check it out, thanks!

Re: What are you reading right now?

I think you will like it, Becke. As I said: nothing special, but man... Brunetti is so real that one DOES get addicted to him... AND his wife teaches English literature at the university and simply LOVES Henry James, to the point that although Brunetti will NOT admit to it, he is sort of jealous of Henry James... He says in one of the books that being jealous of an author who has already died is ridiculous. But even so... The fact is that he cannot help himself and he IS jealous... (^_^) Heh !

If you want to stick with a theme, Jennifer Crusie's new book is based on Henry James' THE TURN OF THE SCREW:

Don't Blink

This is my first stand-alone Patterson book that I will be reading. I am nearly caught up on the Alex Cross series but I got this as a gift so i figured I should take time out of the Cross series to read it. I am kind of excited to see if Patterson's writing style is the same even though he has a co-author on this one. I know a lot of people complain about his methods in using these co-authors; but from what I understand, they are all still Patterson's ideas. Either way I love all of his books and will continue to read them! Haven't started this one just yet but I hope i enjoy it :smileyhappy:
