Did anyone else watch the season premier of "The Chicago Code"  I loved it.  I think I've found a new cop show.

My mom just told me she loves "Blue Bloods" with Tom Sellock but I've never seen it.

I liked Chicago Code but thought Blue Bloods was too unrealistic. I just didn't buy it. I prefer Selleck in the Jesse Stone role.

Me too. Too much like a soap opera. And the hard Stone movies are perfect.

Chicago Code? Which station?

It's on FOX.  The pilot was on Monday, though I'm not sure if that will be the regular night.

My mother also loves "Blue Bloods." I've seen a couple of episodes and it's not bad. It's not on my list of regulars, and even my mother would watch "NCIS" w/ Mark Harmon before she'd watch "Blue Bloods."

Murder City

Murder in Suburbia

Inspector Lewis

Hetty Wainwright Mysteries

New Tricks

Hustle

Wire in the Blood

Waking the Dead

Lots more!

Only cracked the first one so far. Not quite into the rhythm yet. Enjoyable though. Doing them by netflix so one episode per disc, number 2 should come some time this week.

Just did get a hold of Season 5 of Waking last week. Awesome, can't wait till more seasons come available. Still pissed Wire in the Blood is no more.:smileytongue:

Yes, that was my introduction to Clive Owen!  And there was another one showing on PBS around the same time with Robson Green, Touching Evil.  I couldn't decide which star was better-looking!

First episode only. Wanted to shoot the protagonist. Clive Owen or not, irredeemable portrayal.

I'm hooked. Love the map feature on the DVD. Love that the setting is spread out over a county full of small English towns. Wonderful show!:smileyvery-happy:

My husband and I are well and truly addicted to this series! We discovered it a few years ago (and were thrilled to find all the episodes on Netflix, too) and have watched every single episode since then - at least, every episode that's been released in the U.S.

We like the series so much we've started buying the DVD sets - they're expensive, so we don't have them all. We DO have this one on pre-order - it comes out tomorrow!

One thing that I really love about the series is the guest stars.  Lots of familiar faces going way back.  One that I remember off the top of my head was Honor Blackman.

A previous report of the show New Tricks

New Tricks: Season Three  being canceled after season 3 is incorrect. It may hearten you to know that although only 1-3 are US available at the present. They have filmed season 7!

Hurray! I broke down and bought season three on DVD - we just finished watching it before I left for New Mexico. It looks like another DVD set will be coming out in June. I don't have the patience for Netflix and I know we'll watch these episodes again, so I'll probably buy that set, too.
