Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Here's the artwork we're working on, which you may not be able to see externally. My apology if you can't.

Seriously though, Ransom Notes is going to be a great, great blog for all us mystery lovers!

Re: "Ransom Notes"New Blog by PaulH

I solved the first mystery at Ransom Notes, but I keep coming in too late to solve the others. I'll be glad when I can get on my computer more regularly. (I'm not addicted to BN.com or anything!)

Any of you who like to solve puzzles, Paul has come up with some great teasers!

Re: "Ransom Notes"New Blog by PaulH

I'm traveling this week and only have limited computer access. Every time I've checked Ransom Notes, someone (usually Debbie) has already guessed the answer! This is fun, though - I can hardly wait to read the guest blogs!

Re: BOUCHERCON!

I'm very excited about attending my very first Mystery Writers' conference, BOUCHERCON, this week. This link takes you to their official site: http://www.bouchercon2009.com/introduction.html

How do you pronounce Bouchercon?
BOU-CHER-CON
Pronounce it BOW as in "bow-wow," then a soft CH, as if you were blending CH to the front of the word her. Then CON, of course, is short for "convention." BOU-CHER-CON.

Where will Bouchercon be held next?
Bouchercon 2010 will be held in San Francisco. Visit the website.

Re: Blogging from Bouchercon

Watch for my blogs from Bouchercon at RANSOM NOTES later in the week -- I'll be checking in with first impressions, talking to some of the authors (hope I don't embarrass myself -- I'll be a total fangirl!), and hopefully bringing a bit of the atmosphere to you. I hope I'll also be able to recruit some of these authors to visit the Mystery Book Club, too!
