Re: African American reading - Nook friends/contacts

I am a new Nook Color user as well so I would love to get some "friends". I like reading what would be considered Urban fiction but I will read just about anything.

There's also currently a free book called Fireflies in December.  I don't know if it fits your criteria.

Edit: Just realized this thread is from October.  Anyways...

Thanks for the recommendation. And yes, this thread is pretty old. I'll give Fireflies a gander and let you know what I think about it.

Re: African American reading - Nook friends/contacts

In order to add friends to your Nook, you have to add them via an email address to your nook settings. You got to settings, then contacts, and then add the new contacts info into the corresponding fields

Re: African American reading - Nook friends/contacts

Hi, I am a new Nook owner, and I am looking for friends :smileyhappy:  I read just about anything, twice if I like it but my favorites are African american fiction, and paranomal romances.

I am also looking for great books, I am a voracious reader, so I am always looking for something new.

I too am new to the Nook community and love AA books. Some of my favorites are Walter Mosley, Victoria Christopher Murray, Toni Morrison, Carl Webber, Eric Jerome Dickey, Sapphire, and Sister Souljah. Looking for some good reads and new friends.

Re: African American reading - Nook friends/contacts

If you like poetry you can check out Undone by Khadija Craddock it's only 5.99. She is an African American writer from Newark, New Jersey. Its not that boring kind of poetry either that you spend a half an hour trying to understand. It's fun to read and touching. I liked it maybe you will.

@slowpoke 59 your post didn't show. I know there are issues with the setting if using IE9. Also if posting from NC be sure to let the page load completely and select html.

Re: African American reading - Nook friends/contacts

Hi somewhat new to nook, but I am getting back to reading again.  I don't have a lot of books on my nook.  I am open to new book suggestions and I would like to add you as a friend.  I love the list you posted.

We have to exchange emails so we can view each other books.
