Baen e-books available at B&N

[ Edited ]

I noticed today that Baen e-books are available at B&N now.

I have not seen any official announcement about this. So I do not know when they came available.

Seems it's a slow rollout according to Toni.  And, also apparently completely stealthy as I've seen absolutely no advertising.

Yes, we’ve got a slow phase-in, newest books first, for B&N.--Toni

I just spotted Wen Spencer's Eight Million Gods and Elfhome on Barnes & Noble!

Wen's older Baen books are still paper only (which makes sense).
The blurb says no DRM, yea. I didn’t look for any others, but I’m shure they will show up in the fullness of time.

Good news.  I generally have bought my ebooks from Baen through their own Webscription store but I think the additional outlet will increase exposure for people who don't know how good their authors are.  I'm still amazed at the number of SF fans with ereaders who don't know about the Baen Free Library.

I've always liked Baen's selections, and for the longest time they had an enormous amount of their books available via free CD-ROMs included with new hardback releases.  I'm glad to see they're getting more exposure, and I like seeing the older sci-fi books being re-released as ebooks.
