I downloaded this the other day it was free and then just a day or two ago it was up to 12.99 I believe!! I am happy it is back down to free as everyone should read this book (even if this isn't the complete version)

Edit** Wouldn't let me edit my above post it kept on trying to take me to twitter. I paid 0.01 cent for the book even if it was free. I know a lot of people hate this but since it came off of a gift card (from when i first bought my nook) its not that big of a deal for me

To my understanding B&N puts a 1 cent hold on your active credit card to verify it is real. But then at some point the hold comes back off and you get your penny back.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong about the hold of 1cent with free book.

If you look into your my account:
When you buy a free ebook they all cost 0.01 however they have a 0.01 discount so it ends up being free. Sometimes (and this has happened with me twice), I didn't recieve the 0.01 discount and my account was therefore charged.
I have never used a CC to purchase a book on the nook (I had a ton of gift cards when i bought it) so i do not know how it effects credit cards, but that 0.01 charge has been applied to my gift card for free books. Not that I mid because after all a penny is a penny but I am sure it does bother some people.

Just clicked on the link & Le Morte d'Arthur is now $12.65. Possibly there are free editions out there, but this is not one of them.

That is a LIMITED TIME, the original post was dated Tuesday & I checked Wednesday. Unfortunately at this time $13 is not in my budget -- I'm trying to get most of my books from the library or for < $5.

I actually feel guilty. I wanted the two volume Le Morte d'Arthur for years and -- like the many academic editions of The Poetic Edda, Beowulf or the Icelandic Sagas -- the price has always stopped me. So when I saw this ebook I pounced on it, like the rabbit that I am.
So many ebooks turn up for free then linger free for days, weeks, months. I had no idea that this would last less than a day. It is this that I feel guilty about. I'm sorry if people missed the offer. :/ I only hope some people were able to get it along with me. I really had no idea the offer would end so rapidly.
I'm sorry.
