I seem to remember that she's a Cardinals fan.  I don't think they like the Cubs much. :smileyvery-happy:

From that perspective it could be worse.  He could be joining an American League team. :smileywink:

The Cubs?  Oh, he would die...or even worse, play soccer first : )
Too many contributors to his decision to bore you with them.  Besides, this isn't about him, IT IS ALL ABOUT ME AND MY LOSS!!!  All those years suffering from sunburn and bleacher butt...  I deserve these last two years of living through my son...ungrateful little snot!  How dare he think this has anything to do wth his life and peferences?  ALL ABOUT ME!!!!  Geesh....I feel better now and will go back to playing the matue and supportive parent.  Thx guys for listening  : )   (pls excuse typos...typed on my phone)

Hope to see you later at...

Maybe one of the other player's parents will let you adopt their son during the season. Assuming you also don't have to feed him. Dang but teen can eat more food than an elephant eats.

Nope, don't want anyone else's.  Just wouldn't be the same.  Will just focus on daughter's tennis this sping and pray for a return to the diamond next year.  However, if our Cards don't sign Pujuls, I might just do something desperate.

Humph...I have 3 teens at home and would prefer to feed the elephants.  You just have feed them, hose out the cage, and lock the door when you leave: )

Are you talking about the teens or the elephants. Sounds a lot like raising teens.:smileyvery-happy:

Even I as a Ranger fan cannot imagine Pujols not staying with the Cards. The two just seem to go together. Mention one and you automatically think of the other. Unless he decides he wants to come to Texas. I could get used to that.

Now, THIS looks interesting!

Baseball in the Garden of Eden  just came out as a NookBook yesterday, but this may be a case where I don't wait to see whether the price will drop.

John Thorn, the author, was interviewed on Fresh Air today (3/16).  Here's the story, if you want to give it a listen:

Thanks for the heads up, AB. That book certainly bears checking into.

And speaking of baseball books, look at what is out in nookbook format now. I read the DTB of this one some time ago and now I have it on my nook. Its one that deserves to be read and reread.

Not a terrible price, either!  That's definitely one for the List.

Meanwhile, here's one that I loved right up to the day that my dog ate my copy.  :smileysad:  Amazingly, it's new, improved, and out as a (very expensive, alas!) eBook:

Now, that's more my style, AB. I downloaded the sample and will look at it this evening. Thanks for the post.

And there are people out there who grouse that this thread isn't about BOOKS.

Yeah! What he said!

I see another problem creeping up. The season hasn't started and we are already racking up the thread pages.

Don't they limit the number of pages? Maybe I'm thinking of something else. Never mind.
