When Granny Hammy finds Bloated Goat face down in her front yard's drainage ditch, her grandson Cocky Doodle thinks nothing of it. In fact, he says that’s just another normal day for his best friend. ManleyPeterson, I can see that this book would appeal to adults also.  Neat!  I am intrigued by that alligator gangster.  I get a kick out of that name, "Bloated Goat."

Thanks, Casper. I'm really excited to have people read Bloated Goat. I intended the story to be interesting and funny to adults as well as kids, but I'm ecstatic to see so many great reviews from adults who enjoyed it. I only have one review on B&N, but currently eight good ones over on Amazon.

Almost seems like the adults are enjoying this "children's book" more than children.

When I wrote Bloated Goat last year, I had fun envisioning all the crazy characters in a movie on the big screen.

Can you imagine Cocky Doodle, Granny Hammy, Bloated Goat, Maxine, Crazy Ned, B.R., Bully, Father Rat, and others in an animated adventure made by Dreamworks or Pixar?

My readers keep telling me they can almost see the movie scenes playing in their heads while reading the chapters.

Anyone else have these experiences while reading Bloated Goat? I'd love to hear them.

The reviewer says, "I LOVED this story! The best laugh I've had for .99c period. I don't know if this book could be fully appreciated by a child without an adult helping them. I do however think this would be a truly awesome book for English teachers to use in aiding them for teaching kids a variety of writing techniques. I absolutely HAVE to insist you read the sample chapter!! I've been driving my husband nuts for the last few nights I read this due to all my shrieking and cackling at it. Just finished this book. Not so sure it is suitable for kids per se -- maybe pre-teens and up -- because of the hilarious, convoluted story line.

This was a fun book to read. I especially enjoyed the heroic, yet loopy, Maxine. Maybe her friends can invest in a pair of eyeglasses. Crazy Ned was a riot, too.
