Question - I bought two of these (I tried not to get TOO greedy and order 10 or anything ha ha). Anyway I went to one location, made the purchase, got a confirmation number. I then went to another location, made a purchase but used the exact same email etc. I did this within 5 minutes of each other at about 3:00pm yesterday
Anyway, I got the ONE email about 4 hours later, followed the link, got on quite easily and got the actual GC code. But I did not get a second email nor do I see both of them under my groupons.
for those that bought multiple ones - did you use the same email address and just switch locations or did you have to use different emails? I am not looking to buy tons of them, but did want a few because I am getting my wife a nook for her b-day and was going to use this to start her off with a $20.00 credit (and I was going to use the other for me).
anyway - if I want 2 or more do I need a different email for each?

I used the same login and credit card info for each one I purchased. I don't know if I had to but I did change locations.

I did get them all. I ordered them from my Android phone Groupon app though if that makes a difference. They showed up in my regular email this morning as well.

I bought two--one on my husband's Groupon account through the Tallahassee offer, one on my Groupon account through the Chicago offer. Both got sent just fine, and I added them to my B&N account with no problem. I already had about $25 on a gift card left over from Christmas, so those two put me up to my limit of 3. I bought a few books, then left for a hair appointment. When I came home, I had an e-mail from B&N, which I'll copy and paste here:
Dear Liz Funk ,

For your convenience, we have provided the details of your order below.
We thank you for your business and look forward to hearing from you soon.
I logged on to the website and saw that my original $25 gift card has been untouched, the one I bought using my husband's Groupon account is at $0.00, and the one I bought using mine has $1.99 missing from it--meaning that they did bill me for all the books I bought! But I can't download the last one (which cost me $12.99), nor can I apparently download any other books. Anyone had this happen to them??

I bought two, entered two and spent two this morning with no problem.... other than my obvious addiction to books. I've downloaded them all and opened them all. I have OCD and have to check all books downloaded to my NC.
I hope you get it worked out quickly!

Hi gang...
I am a Groupon suscriber in Tampa, Fl and just got the same deal in my email today. I came online today to share and found that it had already been offered in Chicago. Must be different days different deals.
Anyway...my heart was in the right place.

I had the same thing happen to me as RSC_Nook -- ordered two with the same login, only got one. I think they closed the loophole that was allowing people to get one from each city. So yes, I would use different logins if I were you, just to be on the safe side.

Liz Funk...The same thing has happened to me. I bought 8 books. I had 2 gift cards already on my account and added my Groupon code. The first 4 books went through just fine, #5 was declined and then #6 - #8 went through fine as well. I still have plenty left on my gift cards to cover. I guess we'll have to call customer service, which from my past experiences is never an easy ordeal.

Rainfall00 wrote:I have a quick question - is this going to be a coupon or a gift card? I have a gift card balance and don't want to burn through that just to use the Groupon monies up before 4/10. I bought my Groupon before I figured out there was a time limit to use the full amount, so before my husband buys me another one I'd like to know whether this will affect my current gift card balance or not.
Anyone know? Thanks!
You do need to add the Groupon certificate as a gift card.
I already had two gift cards entered on my account with a pretty sizable balance, and since there is a time limit on the Groupon coupon, I wanted to use it first. There is no way to "rearrange" gift cards to move one up or down.
However, if you still have the physical BN gift card (or at least the number and PIN) which is on your account, you can delete that card, add the Groupon, then add the other gift card back to the account.
I did that this morning after receiving my Groupon certificate, ending up with the Groupon at the top and it was debited first when I made purchases today.
Hope that helps!

When I called CS, they said that it would just take a while to go through. I haven't tried to buy any additional books, but I'm glad that it let you buy them without a problem. I'll call back tomorrow if it still hasn't delivered the book to my Nook. I'm aggravated, though... it would be the book I spent 13 bucks on that would give me a problem!

Congratulations on getting through to CS!! I've tried twice today and waited 20 minutes each time with no success. Getting aggravated to say the least.
The book shows in my library but when I try to open it up it says there was an error and to call Customer Service.

I got my coupon this morning, loaded into my account and bought a book. Waited about 1/2 and checked to make sure it took the purchase from that coupon. When it did, I bought 2 more books, and downloaded all three. Each one opens just fine, I just checked.
The site seems to take from the card with the lowest balance first. I had a $10 card on the site, and I removed it. I also have a $100 card and one with $1.76 left on it. For the first book, it took the $1.76 first and zeroed that card out. Then it took from the Groupon card. It took the next book entirely from the Groupon card next, putting the balance below $10.00. I added the $10.00 card back. The next book it took from the Groupon card and emptied it, took the remaining dollar something from the $10.00. So the $100 card is still sitting intact, which it has been because I keep adding smaller value cards that I have. Anyway, that's my take on the order it uses the gift cards.

According to CS the site uses the Gift Cards in the order that they are added to the site. I haven't checked this myself to see if it is true or not.

RSC_Nook - I'm having the same issue as you. I bought one initially from Chicago and then hours later bought my husband and son one each from Boston and Rockford. I got the email for my first one pretty quickly but am still waiting on emails for the other two. Only the first one shows up in my Groupon account as well.
I used the same email address and credit card for all 3 and just changed the city. I just checked my bank account and nothing has been charged yet.

If anyone who uses ebates hasn't bought their groupons, the ebates daily double for today is Groupon! Today is 6.0%.

Alan, I've been paying attention to this. I added the $100 gift card probably early January, it hasn't touched it. It took the latest books from the Groupon card, left the $100 card intact. From what I can tell, it seems to try and use the cards with the smallest balances first.

That's good to know. I had a $40 gift card on my account that I had received for the holidays. I didn't want that to get used prior to my Groupon gift cards. I called CS and they told me to delete my $40 card and then add the Groupon cards. I can always re-add my $40 when I want to.
Of course I could call CS back again, ask the same question and get a completely different answer this time... ![]()

I deleted the $10 card on my account, but left the $100 one. I did only purchase one book first, just to make sure it was taken from the groupon card. Once it processed and I saw that it did, I purchased the other books. I would have deleted the $100 card if there was an issue, but for me, at least, there wasn't.
