I finally found an online site for lending and borrowing Nook books and discovered a problem. I want to list all of the books that I can lend, but am finding inconsistent information. Some of the books in my B&N.com "My Nook Library" site have a LendMe icon that I can click on to lend the book to another user. Some of the books I have on my Nook have a LendMe icon that I can select to email a lend offer to another user. The problem is these books are not the same. For example, I have the Lonely Polygamist with a LendMe icon on my Nook screen, but no LendMe icon on B&N.com. Is it lendable or not? Why isn't this information synced between my online library and my Nook? Which books can I list as available to lend?

The "LendMe" indications on your NOOK are probably out of date. When Amazon started offering LendMe, some of the publishers decided to stop participating in the program. See this thread: http://bookclubs.barnesandnoble.com/t5/NOOKbook-Di
If the NOOKbook listing shows LendMe here on the B&N site, it still should be lendable. That one isn't lendable any more.

Thanks for the explanation, Doug. That's too bad. And frustrating. But the publishers do what they want and we just have to suck it up.
