Hello all. I'm new here, but i have a feeling I won't be the only new PubIt! author popping in to introduce their book. Would it be okay to post a short description and link here? Or is there somewhere more appropriate? I asked on the Nook board, and I was sent to this board.![]()
I don't want to break any forum rules, so if something like this isn't allowed, i will bow out.

Thank you, St.Nookalas. Great name, btw. lol. I'll make a separate thread for my book so that people don't stumble into it not knowing it's a promo thread.

Worse case is they will remove the post, but usually that's to advertise any other products. If you have PubIt! book already set up and ready to roll...I don't see why not!
Here's a little suggestion - take a look around the Nook Posts, reply when you want (not too much, just a few posts, and make valid posts) here and there. Put the link to your book in your Tag Line.
People will look at that as well. :-)
Good luck!!
Mods - I think there should be a Thread strictly for PubIt books! :-)

This is new territory, so we'll see what the forum admins say. Over in the Community Room, there's a dedicated thread for authors to announce their books: http://bookclubs.barnesandnoble.com/t5/Community-R
However, it seems reasonable to me to have a separate thread here for announcing e-books. Given the number of e-books that are likely to be published through PubIt!, I'd vote for having a dedicated thread rather than have five thousand separate threads. But then, I don't actually get a vote. ![]()

I just took a look at your book. It looks great! I have a quick question though. What format is this in? It states that it's not compatible with Mac, so I'm wondering if this is done in a format other than epub.
Thanks!

Suzi,
I uploaded as a document. I saw it worked okay in the sample on my Nook for PC app. I wonder if I should upload it from the epub I had from my Smashwords file? I thought if it went through the processing, it would be available for all the Nook applications. I saw that it wasn't available for Blackberry or Mac, but then thought maybe that was true of all pubit books. Hmmm...

Thank you, Michael. After I posted my thread, I saw that someone had mentioned the Community Room thread so I put my book there as well. I promise I won't put in anywhere else. I'm still feeling my way around these forums. ![]()

No worries. I do suggest posting in the Community Room section but you can post it here also in eBooks Discussion. It makes sense in both areas.
