Liked the Hunger Game Series
(Love the characters, but the reading was a little slow at times - the first half of the last 2 books, dragged out to me. Loved the second hate of them though.)
Hated the Herry Potter Series
So my question is... Anyone have some ideas for another Series for me to read ???
Tried Witches & Wizards and just couldn't get through the 1st book..
Thanks..

Well without a little more guidance as to preferred genre, I'll just list some series that I am currently reading that are great (IMHO):
1) Billy Boyle WWII Mystery by James Benn, a Mystery series with a bit of Historical Romance thrown in.
2) Temeraire by Naomi Novik, Fantasy with dragons
3) The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, Chicago's only wizard/detective (he''s in the yellow pages)
4) Safehold by David Weber, Science Fiction
5) Jane True by Nicole Peeler, Paranormal Romance with tongue in cheek
6) The Lost Fleet by jack Campbell, Space Opera
All are available as NOOK books and most offered the first book for free at one time or other.
I have plenty more series I am following (I keep track of them at fictfact.com) so if you need ore suggestions let me know.
After looking at all the series I am following on fictfact I now realize why I have no money.

Well, bearing in mind that I loved Harry Potter and thought that Twilight was laughable drivel:
Lord of the Rings
Shannara
Dune
Wheel of Time
Ender Wiggin books
Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion books
Zelazney's Amber series
Brust's Vlad Taltos series
Asimov's Robot novels
Dresden Files

Some of these are going to be repeats just because well they we're good suggestions.
From what the original poster started out reading
Steven Brust's Vlad Taltos' Series
Jim Butcher's Dresden Files
Simon R Green's Nightside Series.
R.A. Salavatore's Drizzt Series
R.A. Salavatore's War of the Spider Queen (and the following Lady Pendant trilogy)
Moving up in complexity a bit if that's what you want.
Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber
Frank Herbert Dune Series
Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Rings
RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire (also known as Game of Thrones)

I'm new at this reading stuff.. Just started readingat the end of last year around November.. That's one reason I only read 2 series so far.. I think I like the Twilight and Hunger Games series because they were from a teenage girls view. That might sound weird because I'm far from a teenager anymore.... I don't believe I'd like anything too heavy or complicated.. I like action/suspense, a little romance, and easy to follow..
I looked around the posting today after posting my post and found the following:
I am Number Four
City of Bones
The Maze Runner
I "think" this would be more the angle I'd go with, maybe..
Has anyone read these series ? In you opinion would they be close to what I'm after you think ?
I'm scared if I don't find something I'll stop reading again and I've so enjoyed it the past few months.. ![]()

Lots of great suggestions already, but here's two more:
Dragonriders of Pern series (Anne McCaffery) - If the number of books in this series is scary, try The Ship Who Sang series by the same author.
I hope you'll post what you decided to read and how you liked it!![]()

I really liked the Memory, Sorrow & Thorn series by Tad Williams.
The Dragonbone Chair
The Stone of Farewell
To Green Angel Tower
They are quite long, but I thought it more believable than some other fantasy series (let's put it this way, around half the characters don't survive the series).

I have quite a few...
I like the Sookie Stackhouse booksSookie Stackhouse 8-volume Set and I'm just starting to read Twilight, I think you might really like them.
For Xena warrior kick-a - - stuff, I really like the Kate Daniels books Magic Bites (Kate Daniels Series #1)
If you are into precocious young ladies with only human sleuth skills, yet a bit on the genious side...you might like the Flavia de Luc mysteries The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie (Flavia de Luce Series #1)
Oh, and for romance with a bit of time travel, you might try Outlander (Outlander Series #1)
Let's see, you can also look on the goodreads.com site, they have some lists there too, and if you are part of a group, they can help too (Ladies & Literature has a topic about series)...so you might want to ask for help there too.

Definitely the Mortal Instruments series by Cassie Clare, starting with City of Bones.
Also, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
Some trilogies with two books out, and the third forthcoming:
Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
The Curse Workers (first book is White Cat) by Holly Black
And a few with only one book out, more forthcoming, and the first book was absolutely fantastic:
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Infinite Days by Rebecca Maizel
FWIW, these are all YA, but I loved them all (particularly the last three I listed) and I'm also not a teenager. ![]()

Without much to go on - that is hard - I loved all the series you referenced!
Right now I am reading the Lakeshore Chronicles Series.
Go to fictfact.com they have tons of series to choose from and you can track them there.

Try reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series. I loved the books, althought the first one was hard to get into. But after you get through the boring parts the rest is enjoyable. ![]()

I may or may not be any help, as I really disliked Twilight and loved Harry Potter, but I've really been enjoying the Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow series...
Ender's Game (Ender Wiggin Series #1)

If you like pulp noir vampire stories then try Charlie Huston's Joe Pitt series. These are NOT prime-time vampire books.

Try to read them in order. There are recurring characters.
