I know that I am late to the party on this one

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium Trilogy Series #1)

I put my name on the Wait List at the library around the first of the year and it came up today.  I have added my name to the wait list for the 2nd book at 3 libraries so hopefully will get to read them fairly close together.

Re: Reading now?

This book just hit the shelves today but I purchased it on my NOOKcolor and I began reading it this morning.  Scott Brown was on 60 Minutes last night promoting it.

Cows

I picked this up after reading some hype over the re-release of this apparent cult classic.  What drew me in was the bold review by one person who said it would test those who are not easily offended.

That was no joke!  This story is VILE!  The author describes some deep social taboos in great vivid detail.  Yet the story is brilliant!  It's not disgusting for cringe effect.  It's disgusting because it needs to be.  So even though there is a lot (I mean A LOT) of repulsive prose it all serves a purpose.

I won't go into the vulgarities this book delves into.  I'm still not offended but wow am I being tested hard core.  I won't give out specifics in public but if your so inclined feel free to private message me and I'll feed you some tid bits.  You've been warned!

Hellhound on His Trail

I am about 2/3 the way through.  So far I would give it a 3.5 star rating.

The book details the movements of James Earl Ray (a.k.a. Eric Galt) in conjunction with Martin Luther King's.  It then follows the aftermath of the assasination and manhunt for Ray.

NJMetal,

I am a horror and gore lover, but this book is TOO much for me.  I thought I would give it a try but WOW.

Is it worth finishing?  I was physically nauseated after he cooked his mother dinner (which is where I stopped reading).  Should I keep reading?  Is there a point to this story?

Thanks!

April

I'm really enjoying this book.  It talks about some "regular joe" investors and the great success they've had.

Right now I'm reading Hollywood Station by Joseph Wambaugh.  To my shame I'd forgotten how good his writing is!

Hollywood Station (Hollywood Station Series #1)

I recently finished  Night Shift by Lilith Saintcrow.  A good story in the Dresden Files tradition.

Night Shift (Jill Kismet Series #1)

My son bought for me

The Way of Kings

Wow...this is gonna take some time!  Great reviews, so I'm looking forward to it.
