Stephen King's 11/22/63 not available for download

Does anyone know why this title will not download from my browser.  My family has 4 nook colors on 2 different accounts and we typically split the titles we all will read then side load on to the other account.  When we try with this title we get a message that it cannot be downloaded from our browser, any suggestions??

How are you trying to download it?  I had no trouble downloading it into the nook for PC program.  THe file is then saved on your HD and you can sideload from there.

I have tried both downloading directly from the BN website under my nook and by using the nook for pc program.  When I use the nook for pc program I get error message Download:2138 that says This title is not currently available for download for this application.

Is it by chance the enhanced edition? That is only compatible with Tablet/Color, which might explain the problems with Nook for PC.

Since I don't have either device, I don't know how this would effect direct download to your PC from your My Nook account.

That's true - I forgot that they released an enhanced edition as well and that would probably only work with a NC or NT.

FWIW, it feels sort of wrong that you can't download the enhanced nookbooks to PC.  I mean, unless B&N has allowed the download folders on the NC and NT to be visible to the user, there's no way to back up enhanced nookbooks, or to sideload them to another nook.  This makes them seem risky and limited, IMO.

Does B&N have any sort of workaround?

I agree.  There should be some way to download the enhanced ebooks using the nook for PC app.  I prefer the regular version of books as so far I have seen no need to get an enhanced ebook unless it is a how-to book for something like knitting/sewing where having videos would be helpful.  I've never figured the reasoning behind releasing an "enhanced" ebook for a basic book - I don't think it will ever be able to become a collectors item or anything since you don't have anything physical to sell or show.

Thank you everyone, it is the enhanced version....I will be contacting BN customer support to see if there is any workaround they will give me.

If you go into your library online (My NOOK), does it have a download button by the item?

This should allow you to download it as a file to your computer, regardless of whether it is readable on Nook for PC or even if you have the program there or not.

I had to do this with a magazine I was having problems with and needed to sideload once.

You may have to watch the extensions and edit the file name. At one point it was adding an .epub on the end of some files, i.e. filename.epub.epub (or somthing similar). This made them unreadable until you fixed the filename to the right format/extension.

After speaking with BN support, it turns out there is a known download issue for this title that they are working on.
