Re: Hold up at Sync for today's download.

They say there's a hold up on the downloads today, but will have it up later.

you can check in occasionally to see if they are available yet here:

On the other hand, if you missed last weeks downloads, they appear to still be available.

Skulduggery Pleasant: a great audiobook

I'm not easily impressed, but the audiobook of Skulduggery Pleasant has really impressed me. I'm only partway through it so I can't yet give it a full review, but so far the story line, characterizations, writing, and audiobook reading have been exemplary. Well, okay, in the opening chapter there are a few cardboard cut-out characters, but they quickly fade out of the picture.

I listen to my audiobooks when commuting, and usually I have no problem if I miss a sentence or two while changing lanes or dealing with other driverly details. But Skulduggery Pleasant is so tightly-written that there are few sentences or even words that can safely be missed. I'm having to back up the reading quite a bit in order to keep up.

Officially it's a YA Urban Fantasy, but like a lot of YA work, it also appeals to grown-ups.
