Re: The one book I would pay more for...

December's a long way off, we can hope that the insanity is over by then. :smileywink:

I have a list of about 10 books that are releasing this year, that I absolutely want to read right when they come out or very soon (days) after, and some of them are A5 books.  With the exception of the two I preordered before 4/1, I don't know that I'll be buying the ebook versions.  I may be able to get them at the library or borrow them from a friend, or I might be able to buy the British ebook.  If not, I'll have some decisions to make, as to whether I'll get the ebook or the pbook, or if I'll suck it up and wait.

I'm on Goodreads - If you friend me send me a PM :smileyhappy:

A new Jack Ryan book could seriously tempt me to break my self imposed price limit.  Let's hope that the agency model insanity has either gone away or settled down to reasonable by December.

Re: The one book I would pay more for...

I was very excited when I heard about this book.  The Hunt For Red October was "required" reading when I was in the Navy and I've loved all his books.  BUT....I was also very concerned to see that he has a co-writer on this book. I'm worried it's going to be like Op Center or Splinter Cell...all action, poorly plotted and very shallow characters.  We'll see, I guess.
