Re: Towers Of Midnight

A) Yay. Love me some Jordan books.

B) Who on earth pre-orders an ebook? Isn't that sort of a relic of the bad ol' days when there was scarcity in the book market?

B) That's for the fanatics who don't want to take the chance of forgetting to order it the second it comes out...  (I'm not far enough in the series to pre-order this book)

Re: Towers Of Midnight

I preordered one once because I was so anxious to read it that I woke up at 5:30 AM and hit "check for new content" so I could start right away the day it came out!  It was one of the greatest moments in the history of my nook.  :smileyhappy:

Re: Towers Of Midnight

I guess I'm a pre order junkie too! I pre order any series I read. God if I didn't get it the second it came out I would probably...... be just fine and read it the next day LOL. However; I pre order anyway so I don't forget!

Re: Towers Of Midnight

I have pre-ordered because the price was much less if you bought it at that time than it was after the hardback came out.

OK, another week's gone by, and still on Nook pre-order for Towers of Midnight.

Re: Towers Of Midnight

We order the hardcover to add to my husband's collection. They were sold out at our local B&N.  We have had two e-mails telling us our order will be delayed on-line. Looks like this is an incredibly popular book. Shame Robert Jordan is not alive to see its success.

Re: Towers Of Midnight

I'm really frustrated at having to wait. I preorder because I don't want to have to think about it, I want it to magically appear when the ebook is released.

I can't believe that TOM still isn't up on the B&N site! The other one I'm waiting for is Kings of the North by Elizabeth Moon--that is one I'd stay up until midnight to start! It isn't out until March, but it's already on the Kindle store.

Obviously I'm not suprised that one isn't up on the B&N site yet, but TOM will be released in one week!
