Re: What is everyone reading (revisited)?

Over the past few days I've finished off Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (don't know if I'd already mentioned that), poured over Through the Looking Glass, and I've started on Coraline.

And next week, Wheel of Time Book 11 comes out in eBook form (still with no pre-orders from B&N :smileymad:):

Re: What is everyone reading (revisited)?

Well, I have a couple of books going right now.. as a result of lending my Nook to my daughter so she could read Breaking Dawn.. (she loved the Nook and is planning on buying one now too.. so I will have someone who share books with)!!!

Anyhow, started reading a book I had really wanted to read... It was too expensive as an ebook so I got it as a $3.99 bargain DTB...

The Painter from Shanghai

And now that I have my Nook back, I am reading on it... Clicking Stones

so far, I am liking it but have not gotten that far yet in either stories.

Re: What is everyone reading (revisited)?

The Name of the Wind

Just finished The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.  What a fan-freaking-tastic book.  Only bad thing I can say about the book is it is book one of a series and the 2nd one isn't due out for months.  Why do I keep finding all these great authors who only have one or two books out?  Yeah, I'm looking at you too Ken Scholes!

No clue what I'm going to read now.  Any suggestions?  Feel free to private message me if you do.

The above is based upon my opinion... yours may vary!

Re: What is everyone reading (revisited)?

Just finished off Misery. Figured I'd probably get through about half of what I had left today, but just blew through the lot of it in the end.

This leaves me with a bit of a problem now as to what to read next. I figure I have three options...

1. Dive head first into about a dozen of Grimm's Fairy Tales.

2. Choose one of my free classics given to me graciously by B&N.

3. Go to B&N and get the David Sedaris book I've been eyeing.

I was luckily enough to find a digital copy at my library.  I read the first one because it was a Free Friday book and have been wanting to read more ever since.

I tend to dip in and out of several, but the one usually near the top of the electronic pile lately has been:

Ship of Magic (Liveship Traders Series #1)

I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying these books, since I'm usually not interested in YA fiction.  These are very well written and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Now I'm reading:

Cast in Chaos (Chronicles of Elantra Series #6)

Re: What is everyone reading (revisited)?

Finished:

Tamar Black - Djinnx'd

This one was a lot of fun, but the editing was really poor. Most people probably wouldn't notice a lot of what bothered me, so I can certainly recommend this book to anyone who isn't a crank about editing.

Starting on:

Always Watching

This was a Free Friday selection a month or so ago. The writing, especially at the beginning, isn't as deft as I'm accustomed to, but then this is a YA title. So far the story is pretty good.

Or, you know, I could just do all 3. It's a smorgasbord of Grimm's Fairy Tales, The Scarlet Letter and When You Are Engulfed In Flames.

Think of a Number  I had been looking at the hardcover of this and it sounded interesting.  At $3.99 for the ebook, I couldn't pass it up.  Good story so far.

Altar of Eden  Great adventure conspiracy story.  Definitely tough to put down.
