I really liked Columbine. Thought it was very well researched and written. Very good book.

I just finished #1 Ladies Detective Agency which was the week one free book with the code. It was pretty good. Now I am reading journey to the center of the earth. It is the free version from B&N. It has some problems. Sometimes the words go to far off to the side so you can't see them all. It is still a good book though.

I am now reading:
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (Millennium Trilogy Series #3)
And the more I read it the more unhappy I am that Stieg Larsson died...

Me too Alan...I am reading Hornet's Nest also...and as I said in my earlier post he had 10 books outlined and only 3 written for this Salander/Bloomkvist series and we will always wonder just where he planned to take these characters in their relationship and adventures. A true loss to all of us readers! I feel so cheated out of some great reads that will never be...but a lot of people are sure enjoying the three novels we do have.

I finished Hornet's Nest in record time (2 days), and was really sad that there isn't another one. But without spoiling, I will say that I think I enjoyed this one the most out of the three. A lot less action, but a lot more story.

Well, with family holiday activities, etc. I haven't been able to read as much as I'd like this weekend. I have to say, though, that there seem to be a lot more Swedish names and locations in this book (like I said it "seems") and at times I admit it is getting confusing for me.
I still love the book though!

I really enjoy this thread, and getting new ideas on books to read.
I have currently moved on to reading "Driving with Dead People", another $3.33 bargain book ... ebook is $11.99. Its a really good read.
But after this, its back to the Nook, to read "My Sister's Keeper. I just saw the movie and loved it... so am really looking forward to the book as I usually like the books so much more then the movies.

I just finished "Devil in the White City" awesome book about the World's Fair when held in Chicago. Also tells the story of H. H. Holmes who was America's first serial killer. Recommend to all that are interested in American History.
I am now reading "The Lost City of Z".

Canticle (Psalms of Isaak Series #2)
Thanks again for mentioning these books. Just finished the first one and it was a great book. The characters seemed really familiar which made the story very comfortable to read. Almost reminded me of characters from Lord of the Rings. Also, was really surprised to find that this was his first novel. The guy has some real skills and I look forward to the 2nd book and anything else he writes.

Today I finished reading The Scent of Rain and Lightning by Nancy Pickard. Mystery, murder, tension, great characters...I highly recommend this book.

I just finished these books.
The 9th book in Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch Series, Lost Light, which I got from the library.
Lost Light (Harry Bosch Series #9)
Keri Arthur's Moon Sworn, the 9th in the Riley Jenson Series (Paranormal Romance)
Moon Sworn (Riley Jenson Guardian Series #9)
Jack Higgins - Sean Dillon Series - Edge of Danger. I thought I read this one as a ebook, buy maybe not.
Edge of Danger (Sean Dillon Series #9)
Oh yeah, and I'm in the middle of "The Writing Circle" the B&N first look book. So far, I'd say it's so-so. I have no trouble putting it down and starting something else.
I'm trying to decide now what to read, while waiting for a couple of library books to come in. Trying to choose between:
The Faithful Spy - Alex Berenson
The Fifth Floor - Michael Harvey
61 Hours - Lee Child
The Bormann Testament - Jack Higgins
The Silent Sea (Oregon Files) - Clive Cussler
Divine Misdemeanors - Laurel K Hamilton

I've read "61 Hours" and I don't think it's one of the better Reacher stories out there but not prime Reacher is better than most other books out there right now I think...

Probably.
I'm not sure what I'm saving it for, I usually dive right in when I get one of his books. But, I have so much other stuff waiting to read now. I'm thinking of the Faithful Spy because it is a new series I want to try. I'm also the next on the library waiting list for Noah's Compass, I don't know how long it will be until it shows up, and I've got out of town company coming in next week, which will slow down my reading for a week or so.
