In the serialization of Triggers, by Robert J. Sawyer in Analog, Jan-Feb 2012 et.seq, there are several parts of the story obviously left out. These are all "displays" of some sort, like a computer screen we're supposed to read, or writing on a whiteboard we're supposed to see.
Most if not all of them are in the first installment, just after "Microsoft Word document", and "wrote down the names:". In fact, they're mostly after colons (
. They don't show up in any other reader I've tried, so I suspect that it's a fault in the encoding, either by the publisher or B&N.
Of course, I subscribed via Nook when my paper sub lapsed, and this is several issues ago, so they're no longer on the shelves in your stores (I looked).
Is there anything that can be done about this? I still enjoyed the story immensely, but things like this really bug me, and I worry about missing other content that isn't so obvious.
Thanks!
Dennis

I hadn't noticed this issue. I did have a problem with "The Day The Wires Came Down" from last June's Asimov's. Spaces were randomly removed so words ran together. I wrote them an email and they sent me a PDF file. You're right. It does look like there are missing pictures or something in the text. I find the same in the Nook for PC copy.
