Internet on the Nook?

Gave my ex a Nook. Can she go on the internet with her nook? If so, how? Thanks

Sorry don't know.  I think it sold for ~$129.

Re: Internet on the Nook?

If you bought it in the last year, at that price, it's almost certainly the NOOK Simple Touch Glow, a B&W device with the glow light screen.

The NSTG can be rooted, and if you do so, you can load other software on it. It still has significant limitations though. For a techie, it might be worth it. For anybody expecting a tablet - like experience, it may just be frustrating. It can run a browser, but it's not a great experience, I MO.

If it's a eink device, then out of the box no.  If it's a tablet device, then yes.

The Nook HD has been $129 for a while now, so it could be that one too.

Tec, is it a B&N only or a color device? That info will help us give you a definite answer.

The e-ink First Edition has a browser that can be used for surfing, googling, checking email, etc. It can't handle attachments, embedded audio or video, and it doesn't run apps, though.
