Nook for PC library empty

My Nook works fine. However, my Nook for Pc application won't recognise any of the ebooks I have, including those downloaded from Barnes and Noble. I am logged in under the settings (and have tried logging out and back in) and it is checked to automatically download new purchases.  I even tried "open with" in the ebok folder,  I have tried opeing with the nook connected, but nothing seems to work

Re: Nook for PC library empty

Michael-V suggest, uninstalling and reinstalling Nook for PC.

Some of us just suggest deleting the database that is a hidden file in the AppData directory.  For vista and windows 7 where your id is YOURID thats

\Users\YOURID\AppData\Roaming\Barnes & Noble\BNDesktopReader file ClientAPI.db

Uninstall reinstall as Michael-V suggests.  Or

The Appdata location moves slightly so the database to delete is in

\Documents and Settings\YOURID\Application Data\Barnes & Noble\BNDesktopReader file ClientAPI.db

I tried uninstalling numerous times and also the deleting of the hidden file... still nothing.  When I try to go into B&N and go to my library it keeps prompting for my password over and over again!  This is getting old!  This happens everytime BNreader is updated!  HELP!

When I delete the above hidden file I go back into nook and it updates the files and I log in again... well the same hidden file is back again???

Re: Nook for PC library empty

Thank you for this info. It fixed my problem but you also need to un-hide all files to see this. Then go back and re-hide them. Do not delete anything else though! :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Nook for PC library empty

I just posted about a similar problem I am having.  None of the suggested solutions worked.  I am having the same symptom/problem you described, where I can't even sign in to my library on the B&N website. Did you ever finda solution to your situation?  Thanks.
