cannot get back to library once I have a book open

So I got an iPad yesturday. Opened a magazine, read it, and now I cannot get back to my library, it stays on the magazine. Anyone know how to get off the mag and back to my library?

Touch anywhere in the middle of the page, and the navigation options should appear along the top and bottom of the screen. The "Back to library" option is at the top left.
