Are these two apps the same? If so, I am really confused why Words with Friends which is $2.99 seems to be so popular as compared to Scrabble which is only $.99.
I cannot figure it out. Scrabble gives you the option of playing alone against the computer. I do not think you can do this with Words with Friends. I know you need wifi with both - so please explain to me why Words with Friends is so popular. Inquiring minds want to know ![]()

Scrabble is currently on sale, they are usually both $2.99 (buy Scrabble now, last time it was on sale it was only 1 or 2 weeks, also check out EA's other apps which are also on sale)
Both are great games, but Words with Friends has become hugely popular because it is also a Facebook app (Nook and other mobile devices using WWF link to the same Facebook games)
Both have the same gameplay but the bonus squares are setup differently and some other subtle changes.
And thank you for letting me know that Scrabble now has Vs. Computer mode. This must have been a recent update I missed as I have not played since Christmastime ![]()
