Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

Just to be clear, this is a refurbished NC not new.  No problems here with the idea of refurb but it's not like they dropped the price of a new one $100.  Just dropped the refurb $30

And that price for refurbs has been in the wild, off and on, for a few weeks now.  I missed it on buy.com but got one from an ebay seller a few days later.

And for 150, a refurb NC is very well priced.

I see Samsung's finally going to start selling the upgraded 7 inch tablet in the US soon.  No word on price yet, but go Samsung go:  4", 5", 7", 7.7" (not in US, yet), 8.9" and 10" all available.  Real choice, as opposed to our friends the Fruitarians.

IDK...I believe they will have to do better than this to be in competition with the Kindle Fire. The Nook Color is almost a year old now, time to ajust the price to $199.00. the refurb to $149.00 and so on and so forth....and hopfully bring out a new one before the holidays to add a bit more to the mix:smileyhappy: In the digital world you cannever be behind a step, you either have to be even or ahead in order to stay in the race:smileywink:

I bought 2 of them the other day for 159. They just came. Look brand new. Can't beat it. I'm too cheap for 249 :smileytongue:
