I was happy to hear that the new Nook Color reader would support Nook Comics.
However, I downloaded a sample of Saturn Apartments, by Hisae Iwaoka, and while the reader now allows you to pinch to zoom and slide around, when you get the page to turn, the zoom resets, so as far as I can tell, you have to reset the zoom for each and every page.
That is, I can't find the setting in the reader to lock zoom on page turns. It ought to be on there, since the full page display is 80% of original size, and after all a lot of the point of buying an ebook reader is sp you can set it to be readable even if your eyes aren't as strong as they once were.
Am I overlooking how to set the zoom lock, or did B&N forget to include the zoom lock setting for their reader?

I have not found a way to do that either. Unless they did not think of it (which is a definite possibility), my guess is that they figured everyone would want to see the full spread before zooming in. As much as I like my NC, the one thing I find most annoying is that in many instances someone arbitrarily decided what was best when it would have been easy enough to provide seting controlled options.

That's something that has been annoying me across the board with digital publishing of manga ~ you get a zoom setting that works, for the normal panel layout, the screen, the quality of your vision, etc ~ and 90%+ of the time, you want to stick to it. Its like they give up when they thing its possible, and they forget about making it easy.
The pinch to zoom is a much easier zoom than the online readers like Viz Media and JManga ... but its still not something you want to fiddle with each and every page.
It seems like about all they have to do is to rezoom to the previous level, holding the top left hand corner on the corner of the screen when you page right and the top right hand coner on the corner of the screen when you page left ~ they've got the sliding around in place. The exact same system would work for Comics and Manga ~ you slide one way for Comics and you'd start reading where you normally start, you slide the other way for Manga and you'd start reading where you normally start.
