I bought my son a NC for his recent birthday and after playing with it for one day I already see some serious (in my opinion) issues with the shop. I checked the box to restrict purchases by prompting for a password, which is great.
Last night after he went to bed I decided to search around for some apps to throw on there so he could play around. I searched for "Fruit Ninja" (fairly popular game on other platforms) and look at that! There were 3-4 results.
But guess what? They were complete ripoff items on the shop. Thankfully I read the reviews and didn't purchase since it wasn't posted by the official developer. It seems as though some people are selling "books" that are maybe 3 pages long named "Fruit Ninja" using the official Fruit Ninja thumbnail to try and trick people into paying $3.99.
Does B&N not look for things like this in their shop?
The other issue I have is with "Anonymous" reviews. Why would B&N allow that? I saw reviews on books and apps ranging from things like "I like big butts" to "you haz fake boyfrands who like buts."
Apparently kids really like posting anonymously about sex, butts, and other things riddled with typos for absolutely no reason. Is there no option for reporting inappropriate reviews? Is there an option on the NC to hide anonymous reviews, or all reviews in general?
