I have both D-Link and Linksys routers, my old D-Link 604 wired router has been working just fine for years, also my Dlink switch hasn't had a hickup once. I have talked to D-link over the years and they have always been helpful (note their offshore tech support is just a bad as B&N's). I would recommend D-Link to others, however like all companies not all their products are great some are better than others. Thus reading reviews and owner comments is always important. The 624 has a spotty reputation, maybe that is why I own a Linksys wireless.

can anyone tell me is there a way to transfer my bn books to my computer so i dont have to redownload everything afer i install the new update i have everything else in adobe digital editions but not the bn ones . is the new update worth doing or should i just stick with 1.2
Provided all goes well you won't have to re-download anything. I say provided because things can happen. Make sure to follow the directions if sideloading or wait for the wifi update to come along. But, you can download your books from your account on the BN website or use the nook app for pc to do so. At this time, ADE can't understand BN's DRM encryption so you can't use it for BN books.

I don't know where you get "D-Link routers are crap and that's well known." I've had D-Link routers now for roughly 10 years. I think they have a much better design than Linksys and the Nook Color 1.2.0 rollout was the only time I've ever experienced a problem with any of them. NONE of the items I've connected to my D-Link routers, from Blu-ray players to Macs to Thinkpads to Dell laptops to homebrew Linux machines has ever had a problem with any of them EXCEPT the Nook Color 1.2.0 software.
Please cite your sources for both D-Link routers being "crap" and that "fact" being "well known" [sic].

I've 'frozen' this thread for two reasons: (1) There are comments in here that violate our community guidelines because of disrespectful or inappropriate language (2) The conversation has derailed from the original topic about the 1.3 update.
I will be starting another thread in which our community members can share their comments or issues experienced with the 1.3 update.
As a reminder, here is a link to our community guidelines: http://bookclubs.barnesandnoble.com/t5/Help-Book-C
Members who continue to violate the guidelines effectively choose to not participate in this community and will be removed from this environment.
As always, reach out to me with questions or concerns. Appreciate your help here! --Sam
