No. There are no "out put" ports provided on the Nook Color or Tablet.

No, to play Netflix on your TV, the easiest way is a Roku ~ the entry level one is $50, and it links to the same Netflix account as your Nook Color does, so that is a one-time cost.If you get a Roku, its still handy to use the Nook to manage the queue, either from the Netflix app or from the specialized Netflix queue manager app.
There's also a Roku remote control app in the Nook store, but since its a paid app and I haven't yet lost my Roku remote control, I've never tried it. But I was using the Netflix queue manager app to help manage my streaming queue for the Roku even before the Netflix player app came out for the Nook Color.
