Just another way amazon forces you to use their products only. Like the amazon app store is going to be used after this anyway..

We can buy a pre-rooted SD card?
It's not technically rooting. It's actually booting off the card itself.
Rooting tends to refer to altering the NC's original OS to allow administrator (root) privileges.
But, yes. Yes you can. Check out eBay.
Or you can easily make your own for half the cost (and probably have a higher-quality card, to boot. "To boot." Get it?
).

Do you think that means Amazon is going to come out with a tablet ereader based on the Android platform? I hope that B&N comes out with an announcement soon.

I am hoping that we will have an app store soon, but it doesn't make or break my nook experience whatsoever... I have an ipod touch, Ihave a droid phone and thus I have plenty of area to play little games like angry birds, but it does seem as if the angry bird exclusive is only one type of the angry bird series.

Just because I would like some additional games on my NC does not mean I do not use it to read. I primarily use it to read. Sometimes I surf the web. Sometimes I play crossword puzzles. I would just like a little more variety. If all I wanted to do was read, I would have purchased a Nook classic.
Or a book ![]()

I guess the Amazon AppStore will be available on tablets. Who would need it because current tablets have access to Apple's AppStore (ipad) or the Android Market (other tablets). I don't see a point in an Amazon AppStore unless Amazon develops a color reader. Who wants an AppStore for e-ink?

Hey -- just heard from Mela08 that Amazon has a color Kindle that they're about to announce! Spread the word! ;-)
