New Software Version Question

Hello,

When and how will the new software version pop up onto my NookColor?  I am sort of afraid to download it myself.  My friend did and her NC shut off and wanted her to re-register it and wouldn't turn back on and the people at B&N said they were having an issue with the server with the new download.

Any thoughts/advice?

There's really no way to say.  It could happen today, it could happen in two weeks.  I doubt you'll have any issue now if you manually download it.

Before any of you who haven't been through this before come on here to tell me I'm crazy, you should know that there have been plenty of people who had to wait weeks for ever update and some never got it automatically at all and had to manually download it once they got tired of waiting.

Unfortunately......It's probably one of those "It'll happen when it happens".......

However, we sideloaded the updated onto both of our NC's without any issues whatsoever!
