Nook Friends not working

I updated the day it became available.  Immediately began receive "friend" requests.  Have accepted those requests directly from my nook as the email notification link requires signing in to BN.com

Last night, the icon on the bottom left of the screen was no longer on my nook showing pending friend requests although I continue to get them via email.

When I go to Nook Friends, it tells me I have no friends.  But, I had previously accepted at least 30 friend requests and been able to browse the libraries of those friends.  It's all just disappeared now.

Last night I got to thinking maybe I should turn off my nc and then back on to see if it would help.  Then slowly nookfriends started working.  First by showing nookfriends activities then showing I had nookfriends.  We'll see if it is still works today.

I am having this problem as well!  I got an email with a friend request, when I clicked on it, it made me login and then said I had 0 friends.  I haven't been able to borrow books either even though my friend says she sent a lendme request to my email.  I never got it.  This is SO frustrating.  I have no problem lending books to others, though.  This is so frustrating!

Has anyone heard anything about getting Nook Friends working? Has B&N made any sort of statement as to when this is going to work? I've been faithfully archiving all thee requests in my email account waiting to add friends. So far I have 0 friends and about 60 requests outstanding. Has this feature started working for anyone else?

Nook Friends is not working for me either. I added a couple of people and requested them to be friends, and their names briefly appeared in the Sent list, but then quickly disappeared. I hope they get it working correctly at some point. I'd really like to use it. I guess it isn't to their financial advantage for us to use it, but they shouldn't create it at all if they don't intend it to be used. It is still showing as being in Beta, so I guess I won't contact customer support until the 'Beta' disappears.

Nice to know I'm not the only one. My sisters have been able to connect to each other using Nook Friends, but it's just not working for me, even after accepting a request. One sister can see me and my books, but I can't see her. The other sister and I were connected before the update and I can see her books, but her name never appears anywhere. Go figure.

My NC has worked beautifully up until now, but I'll wait till after the beta to see if the bugs are worked out.

I have been trying to add friends for a while now --- just keeps showing my requests. The friends I did have on my nook are no longer there. 

I don't know what is going on with this.  My friends are getting requests from me and it is saying they are now friends but I am not seeing it.

Any ideas?

I lost all my Nook Friends two days ago.  I took my NC to my local B&N store today and they reported the problem but said they are aware of the problems, and that the program is still in BETA.  They did ask for my NC serial # so if you are still having issues you might want to visit your store or call CS.  Until they fix the problems, I am not even going to try using the app.  It is just too frustrating.

I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one having this frustrating issue.  Anyone have any idea when the problem will be resolved?
