Since 1997, you’ve been coming to BarnesandNoble.com to discuss everything from Stephen King to writing to Harry Potter. You’ve made our site more than a place to discover your next book: you’ve made it a community. But like all things internet, BN.com is growing and changing. We've said goodbye to our community message boards—but that doesn’t mean we won’t still be a place for adventurous readers to connect and discover.

Now, you can explore the most exciting new titles (and remember the classics) at the Barnes & Noble Book Blog. Check out conversations with authors like Jeff VanderMeer and Gary Shteyngart at the B&N Review, and browse write-ups of the best in literary fiction. Come to our Facebook page to weigh in on what it means to be a book nerd. Browse digital deals on the NOOK blog, tweet about books with us,or self-publish your latest novella with NOOK Press. And for those of you looking for support for your NOOK, the NOOK Support Forums will still be here.

We will continue to provide you with books that make you turn pages well past midnight, discover new worlds, and reunite with old friends. And we hope that you’ll continue to tell us how you’re doing, what you’re reading, and what books mean to you.

People Magazine Digital

I have a print subscription to People which is supposed to qualify me for a free Nook subscription.  The first time I signed up, I got a confirmation email that I was subscribed and the digital edition was free, then when the 14-day "free trial" was up, I was charged $10.69.  After many phone calls and emails, I was issued a credit for $10.69 but my digital subscription was cancelled.  After many calls about this, I was told a subscription was automatically cancelled when a refund was issued.  Also told I should go ahead and resubscribe, "no problem, you won't be charged."  Of course, I was again charged $10.69.  Again, many emails later, I was issued a "prorated" credit of $8.55.  And again, my subscription was cancelled.  Since September 8, I have spent hours on countless emails, chats and phone calls.  How do I get my remaining $2.14 credit and also my free People Mag subscription?

Re: People Magazine Digital

Did you log into your account on the Manage Sunscriptions page and add your print subscrition info? This is the number on your mailing label.  That's how you get the Nook edition for "free".  This should have been decribed in that initial email.  As far as pro-rating that fee, maybe Sam or Alex can help here.

Re: People Magazine Digital

Yes, I did all that.  That's why I got the email saying I was confirmed as a print subscriber and would not be charged for the digital edition.
