Please, oh please, allow users to see ALL contacts with lendable books, not just 10 random ones. Also searching for friends would be great too.
While we're on the subject of improving the LendMe App, let's allow the book list to be sortable by title, author, and genre... minimalistically mimicing the shop application in functionality.

I don't know if you are aware of the website http://bookfriend.me It has a few of the features you mentioned and works great for people with very few contacts.

I am familiar with the website, rynchpln. Just checked it out yesterday, in fact. Unfortunately it does not sync with your B&N account automatically, you have to manually search for each book you have to lend and mark it that you have it. I also noticed that many books don't show up in the search, and that there is no visible way to add books. Also, in order to actually get a book from bookfriend.me, you have to go to that website to browse books.
I just don't see myself using the site until it is massively improved, and it seems a little superfluous to me when the lendme app works better than the site as both stand today, without the list of improvements suggested for it.

This site seems to be similar to http://ebookfling.com/.
Same problems, you have to maintain a list of your books, along with a list of books on your wishlist.
Bookfling does work, as I can attest. A bit of a problem maintaining the lists, but, it has been worhwhile to me.
