moving books from my library to nook color

when i try to move a bn book from my library to my nook color, i get an error message  techical difficulty.  this iitem s not yet supported on this device.   my friend has it on hers, it is a childrens reader book. what do i do?

Is your NC brand new?  I had this problem when I first got mine, and it wouldn't download the free children's books that were supposed to come with it.  You can try turning it off (holding the power button until the dialog box comes up asking if you want to turn it off).  Then turn it on again by holding the power button for a few seconds until it comes back on.  Then the book may show up in your library automatically (make sure wifi is turned on), or you can hit the sync button (the circle made of 2 little arrows) in your library view. 

 

Note that powering off and back on often solves little glitches you may encounter.  If that doesn't work, you can deregister and reregister the device.  I had to do this when I first got mine, and haven't had a problem since.  If you go this route, you will have to redo your shelves and reload anything you've sideloaded.
