Does anyone have an anti-virus program on their NC? I was wondering about it since I use it for web browsing when I travel.
Thanks
Dennis P.

I don't believe there is one, currently. However, since it runs andriod, the andriod app store has antivirus software available, and a B&N app store is incoming, I'd expect to see one soon(ish).

I think the need for some sort of protection on the device is growing, given that threats to Android are appearing. See http://searchsecurity.techtarget.com/news/22400387

11/Black-Hat-2011-Researchers-to-demonstrate-Andro ... . If anyone knows of any legitimate antimalware products available for un-rooted Nook Color devices, please pass them along.
Officially, there is no anti-virus app for the NC. That is, an unmodified (un-rooted) NC. There is also VERY little chance of the NC becoming "infected" (although the chance is not ZERO). The NC browser isn't subject to modification and so forth, doesn't run a LOT of the stuff that hackers use to attach malware to web pages. Windows applications and Mac applications are not in the slightest compatible with the NC....so that leaves out another way of attacking the NC.
