Yesterday I purchased Amazing Alex and attempted to download it to my Nook Color. The download begins as all downloads do on my NC, with a slowly filling green bar. After the green bar is filled to 100%, it shows a grey bar with "installing" for a few moments before it attempts to download and install the App a second time. After the App attempts to install and download for a second time, it returns me to the default option to download the App.
I've tried everything I can think of with the exception of a hard reboot for my device. I've turned off my NC for hours at a time before restarting and attempting to download. I've archived the App, waited, then reactivated the App on my device. While waiting for this App to download, I was able to successfully purchase and download Netflix with no problems. I've done all of the steps I've listed prior in many different, strange combinations but nothing has been succesful.
As you can imagine, I am a little frustrated and I'm not sure where to go from here. Should I take my NC to my Barnes and Noble store and hope to find a capable employee to help solve my problem? Should I hard reboot my nook? I am a little wary in a hard reboot for my NC because I am afraid I will have this problem with all of my other apps when I need to redownload them. Should I simply seek a refund for my $3 App that I cannot even download to my device? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Assuming you suggest that I hard reboot my NC, what are the steps in doing this? Is it required to de-register my device? Will all of my books, magazines, and apps be restored to my device after re-registering the device to my account?

Just an update.
I've factory reset the App and it seems to have cleared up the problem.
Hopefully this won't be a reoccuring issue.
