I followed the directions on how to sync my laptop with my Nook Color; now all my books are on my laptop. I was even able to copy the books to Dad's Nook Color. The directions said just to open the book on his Nook, and the first time a book was opened, to enter my full name and the credit card the books were purchased under. We did this. But the books still will not open. It just kept asking for my name and credit card number (yes, I verified my name is the same on the credit card, and I triple-checked I was entering the number correctly).
What am I doing wrong?

Also, if you've changed credit cards since purchasing and downloading some of the books, you might try downloading them again to make sure they're using your latest credit card info.

I haven't changed credit cards, so that's not it. Today I tried every variation of my name with my cc # several times and nothing worked. I even tried my e-mail address, to no avail. The books are on dad's Nook, but it is locked and driving me nuts!
Is there a toll-free customer service number anywhere for the Nook? I sure can't find it.

No doubt you've tried this, but on mine, the name is the same as on my credit card, but mixed case as opposed to uppercase as on the actual card, with no middle initial.

Yes, unfortunately, I've tried that already. I've tried mixed case, all caps, all lowercase, legal first/what I go by first, middle initial, no middle intial, etc.
Does anyone have a toll-free number that I can call B&N tech support?
