I recently got an iPad. I am giving my Nook Color to a friend. 2 questions:
How do I transfer all my current materials to the Nook app on the iPad? Is it as easy as downloading the app and signing in? Can I still do this after I deregister and remove all my downloaded materials from the Nook?
Also, how do I deregister the Nook and remove all of my downloaded/purchased materials?

yes you will keep all the books on your BN accnt so you just sign in on your ipad with the email and password you use with barnes & nobel and all your library will show up ... and it will be the same with the nook once you deregister it your friend can register it with her email and password she uses with BN

I also followed your instructions but my ebook and other saved materials (which are on my NOOK) do not show up in my Nook Library on the ipad. any advice on how to troubleshoot?
PS> There are SOME sample books that show on both devices but not the purchased or saved products.

You must log in using the EXACT SAME ACCOUNT on your iPad Nook App as you were using on your Nook Color.
Then check the Archived Books section. I haven't used the iPad Nook App for quite a while so don't know where it is. However, your books will all be 'In the Cloud' and you'll have to download them.
I think B&N might also have the option to go to www.nook.com and send your books to your iPad from there.
