Nothing but problems since the update arrived. I cannot access any of my borrowed library books.
I have activated or authorized my computer with ADE.
When I try to copy the book again from ADE to my Nook I get an error message that says "no permission to copy document"
And when I try to access the books on my Nook I get the message -- this book has been returned. Loan not on record.
I am so frustrated. I waiting 6 weeks to get this book and now I've lost it.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what to do?
I do not appreciate B & N putting new software on to "enhance my shopping experience" when I can't afford to buy anything but 99cent books anyhow.
.

If anyone has this problem this is what I tried and it worked.
I went to my Library Ebook Checked out list and discovered the download button was still there.
I dowloaded the books again and when given the message download duplicate? I said yes.
Then I went to ADE, pluged in my Nook Color and Transferred the duplicate books over.
That seemed to work.

Have you authorized the Nook from your home computer? Your computer is authorized to down load from the library system and then ADE must also recognize your Nook for transfer from the computer to the Nook. Hope this helps.

I did authorize the Nook when I was first in ADE after the update was put on.
That's when the error message on my Nook changed from "User not authorized" to "this book has been returned. Loan not on record" and on ADE "no permission to copy document" .
Thanks goodness (after a 6-week wait to get the books) at the library my rentals were still there so I downloaded the books again. Not sure how to delete downloads from ADE or my Nook. I have books that were returned ages ago. People keep saying go to you MyNook page in B&N to delete them, but I never figured out HOW.
Took me months to learn the Nook, then they change it with no notice to me. Is there a place I can see the update changes and how it effects my Nook?
THanks

A list of update changes is always available on the Software Updates page:
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/Software-Updates-N
An easy way to access it is by going to nook.com/support and click Software Updates under the NC.
If your NC is on software 1.4.1, then you should be able to delete old library rentals using this method:
Go to your Library, click the My Stuff tab on the far right.
Go to My Files.
At this point, I'm uncertain of the file structure you may already have set up, but I will assume you place the library books into My Books.
Tap and hold the icon until you get the pop-up menu.
Choose delete.

Thanks for the info on deleting, IT WORKED !!
I'm afraid my downloads all seem to go into Digital Editions under My Files. Its a mess. Guess that's what My shelves is for. Think I'll create some different shelves and try to organize and move stuff into them. Time to clean house.
I'll go any read about the update, thanks for the info.
