Footnotes and Back Button

This pertains to one of the most annoying features of the nook....

When I tap the link to read a footnote while reading a book, I can read the footnote/endnote but the back button only appears at the top of the page briefly.  Why doesn't this stay put?

I usually read with the smallest font, so when there are many footnotes in a book they may only be separated by a very tiny space on the footnote page, so pressing them with my chubby old paws often takes me back to the wrong spot.  If the programmers weren't so stingy with the time on how long "Back" appears at the top of the page life would be better!

I don't see why the back button needs to go away.....

Read a good nook lately?

Re: Footnotes and Back Button

I tried to figure out a way to make it stay and can't. I thought perhaps using the Quick Bar back (sliding right to left on quick status bar which is at the bottom of the screen) would work but it just exits the book.

Very strange. That Back button should be there permanently.
