How do I access files on the sd card of my rooted Nook?

[ Edited ]

I added some pdfs into the 'download' folder of my sd card. I want to read them but am not sure how to access them. Do I need to put them elsewhere or in the internal storage?

The library app can see files on the SD card, too.

If you go into it, hit the "my files" button, by default it shows the onboard memory, but there's a link on the screen to the memory card, and if you click on that it'll show you the contents of the memory card.  You can drill into your Downloads folder that way.
